Different home page

I'm curious as to the approach that I need to take to implement a Drupal home page that's very different from the rest of the pages. For instance, if I wanted to implement a home page layout that is different (let's say something like control4.com) with a flash or jquery slideshow, how would I implement this? Thanks for your suggestions!

See http://drupal.org/search/apachesolr_search/custom%20home%20page
Once you've checked some of those (or similar searches) please let me know if you still have any additional questions.
Thanks :)

Also, though some of it is out of date and other parts incomplete (there are a lot of methods) this article of mine should help give some ideas http://www.davidnewkerk.com/book/2
You can also see various posts I've written that have anything to do with front/home pages in Drupal with this custom google search.

Thanks keyz! I'm digging
