Currently, if a user clicks a link to a Node Updates RSS feed when there are actually no node updates for that node, the user gets a 404. This makes sense, but from my perspective it would be ideal to still allow users to sign up for the feed, even if there are no actual node updates. I am visualizing a use case where a content admin periodically clears out node updates, but does not want to manage the visibility of the feed link. Particularly when node updates might get cleared out and then repopulated again within a short time window.
