+1 for this. I am definitely seeing the same problem, same version. Google Analytics breaks the Popups API. =(

I should note the problem occurs when the Analytics JavaScript is loaded within a pop-up. So a temporary fix is to remove the targeted page from being tracked in the Google Analytics module settings. (Add it to the exclusions.)

has anyone found a solution yet? What is the common approach to remedy? Not implement either of the modules or go down to root-cause and solve for it?

@budk - no. See #2 for a temporary fix.

Thank Greg for your reference.

This is of course one way but with limited benefit to me since Popup API works on important pages that I would like to trace with GA also. For now I removed the GA as I am expecting some guidance, if any. Otherwise I may find myself diving into this issue for a root-cause analysis and a proper resolution - last resort.

Yes, present situation is a pita... but wasn't pressing enough for my client to be prepared to pay me to fix it, and way too busy right now to do it between jobs. Waiting for someone who does have the time and the inclination. =/

yeah - same here.. but I may have to bite the bullet. :-(

A more robust (though it doesn't technically fix it) solution that I discovered is to have GA cache the tracking code locally (under advanced settings in GA). That clears up the problem.
