Right now when someone's client goes bazerk in the patch queue for version 1, whoever disables the client at best leaves a message with the server maintainer by Druplicon. It might be nice for a change in client status to email the server admin about it and who did the status change. Even better would be an opt-in, out on the user config page for receiving the automatic email notices or a checkbox on the client's update page to let the disabling user decide whether or not to email.

This is a task for PIFR, and is already proposed: #369463: Integrate into a notifications framework.

This will be implemented once 2.x goes stable.
