Hi all. I want to start saying that i'm new to drupal's world so, please, if i'll ask something trivial, please be patient...
I have to create a site that has 2 main layout, one for the "welcome" page and another one for the rest of site. I' ve found the Front Page module, that allows me to chose a different front page, but at present i lack the blocks rearrangement function for the welcome page, i try to explain it: i 'd like to keep tha opportunity to manage the blocks layout of the front page, just as i can do it for the main site.
could you suggest me how to achieve my needs? eventually with modules or features that i do not know?
thanks in advance
paolo,
italy

What makes your front page
What makes your front page different than the rest of your pages?
The Multiblocks module may be
The Multiblocks module may be what you need.
The Multiblocks module allows you to create multiple instances of a block which can be positioned differently in different pages. For example, you could create two instances of a menu and have it displayed in the header of the front page and in the sidebar of other pages.
See http://drupal.org/project/multiblock.
thanks for suggesting this
thanks for suggesting this module. i'm trying with it right now.
and to try to be clearer for nevets, my "problem" is that i have a landing page that is the first impact with my site, in which i'd like to have lots o news blocks all around, even in the main content region.
than, when clicking on anything i have a standard layout with sidebars.
i've looked into Front Page module, that allow me to define a custom page, but without the gui e the feature of the Drupal Blocks GUI Backend, so i was wondering if i was choosing the wrong approach.
thanks again for suggestions,
paolo
