Description
What is the possibility of getting an official 6.x-1.0 release for this?
We are currently running the dev version on a production environment with no issues. We have heavily tested it for our purposes and all seems to be going well except a minor issue with wmode that I'll create a new issue for.
Beyond that minor issue, we have found this to be a fantastic module. Thanks for the contribution.

#1
Sean,
Would you like to take over this module?
#2
I would like to take over.
#3
Kyle: You're maintainer now : )
#4
Kyle, please add me as a maintainer. I would be happy manage the CVS and clean up the releases.
#5
I love Slideshow Pro. I've asked its creators for support in developing a module, but it fell on deaf ears.
I'm very excited about the new possibilities of a D6 module - and I can contribute with testing, UI, usability and symbolic contributions via PayPal ;]
you can msg me if you need.
cheers

I don't get it. why another module? is this one going to be dropped?
just asking ;]
#9
I am maintainer on both of these modules. SSP uses CCK and Image Field, as opposed to views.
I originally started on this module as a quick implementation for a client, Myself personally, I think the D5 version is a bit harder.
Not really sure what IM going to do with the D5 version, but Im leaning towards reworking it to be more like the d6 version, add views support, and release a 2.0 Its just time that I need. :)
#10
so SlideshowPro uses views, while SSP uses CCK + imagefield?
#11
Correct
#12
I love Slideshowpro and about to use it my drupal site (release 6.14) with users who can create albums and present the content on their pages trough Slideshowpro.
Understand from #10 above that there are 2 possible ways to do this: SlideshowPro uses views, while SSP uses CCK + imagefield.
Would it be possible to outline briefly:
1. Which of the two options will go forward in release 6.x and finally in release 7.x?
2. What are the main functional differences with the 2 approaches from a user point of view?
Regards,
Marc Hoefman
