If the client does work perfectly and automatically start testing then you will not have a local copy of the pifr_client script to do a local test. If would be more convenient if pifr_client was downloaded as part of the set-up.

I am not sure what you mean. The pifr_client.php file is included with PIFR client and is checkout of CVS along with the rest of PIFR. The script should get all the files and then you can copy the file?
