I am currently using the image_scale function to resize images on my flexinode. It was working perfect on my old server, however, I just moved everything over to a new server and it does not seem to be working anymore. I have the GD library installed on the server but this is still not working.

Does anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong?

I have a similar problem

When trying to import images (in Administer/Content management/Image import) I get the messages:
"Unable to create scaled thumbnail image" (two times) and "Successfully imported: ..."

In reality the original jpgs get copied from files/images/import/ to files/images and no thumbnails or previews are created.
The directory permissions and the GD lib are ok, I have manually resized an image in files/images/import/ and saved it in files/images using a GD-function.
My host does not support ImageMagic so I'm stuck with GD. A little debugging indicates that image_scale returns false in image.module (568).
I guess that might be caused by wrong $source or $destination parameters in image_scale OR that image_scale don't work with GD as described above?

I use Drupal 5 and GD Version: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)

Any ideas anyone?
