I've been experimenting with this module for a little while, it's looks like it's a "must have" for Drupal; Ive become stuck at a couple of points however.

First of all, the overall speed of opening the admin pages and uploading attachments is *really* slow (MIME Converters tab can take 10 mins to open) and cron now takes 10+ mins or times out. I'm not sure if this is config or code, but adding a file can take several minutes, though there is no significant CPU, disk or network activity on the client or server.

It's possible the performance is a setup / other modules issue, but I would like to check if very slow uploads is "working as intended" before I start pulling apart my install / playing with the dev module etc. :)

Secondly, how does one configure the MIME Converters under Windows? Entering c:\swish-e\bin\catdoc.exe "[in_file]" "[out_file]" into the MS Word path for example will allow the converter to show as "installed", but it does not appear to actually do anything (i.e. no content is indexed).

It's my understanding that this module requires linux not windows.

Hmm maybe, but some indexing is working well (text files are fine, the little preview pane is there etc.), the module is also able to recognise the excecutables are present where I enter the path, I just don't seem to have the syntax right.

Almost all the functionality works perfectly as described, it's just sluggish and I'm not sure about adding paths to the excecutable file converters.

Can anyone confirm if this is a Linux only module?
