Node teaser text styling differs from regular teaser.

Description
I've noticed in html output that node teaser text is not enclosed in a paragraph tag as regular teasers are. This causes the text styling to be inconsistent on pages that display node teasers and regular nodes.
Shouldn't the output styles match?
