Hi,
I am starting to get to grips with Drupal finally, which is great.
I am now trying to explore more of the possibilities of the software.
Do you know what my biggest frustration is?
It is the Search facility on this site.
Most of the answers it throws up are irrelevant and seem to appear in no order most of the time.
How do I fine tune searches so that I get what I am looking for more easily?
We are encouraged to search before posting, but sometimes it is so frustrating. I wish I could help organise the data on the site better for everyone, but that is beyond my skills.
Here's an example:
I want to find out more about what I need to put into the .info files for my sites. So I think to myself type .info into the search box. The results it returns are a mangle of all sorts of things.
Ok, so perhaps typing in info files will be better. Again not much luck.
I am missing something here?
Where is the juicy basic data?
Please help. Thanks.
Sam

basic idea is in drupal.org search is if you search about '.info file in drupal 6' refine the results by using right block. for example you want to see how some thing can be done you can go for book page or can also choose forum.
that is how we need to search in drupal.org it may be a bit time consume to get what you want but try to acquaint with it.
This certainly helps thank
This certainly helps thank you.
Is there a way to filter the search results for just drupal 6?
Perhaps many of the older threads are still relevant to today's version, but sometimes it appears they aren't.
Any more tips?
Thanks,
Sam
