Issue Summary
Not sure what happened or how to go about fixing it, but immediately after upgrading to 6.13 and reinstating my marinelli theme, it no longer displays correctly n IE (6,7 or 8)
still works fine in Safari and Firefox
I've attached a screengrab from IE. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Are other people running marinelli without problems on 6.13?

I have the same problem, I did not notice it until a user brought it to my attention, I mostly develop in firefox and I failed to test it in IE. The display improved it when i turn off the event module. However, top and background images are not displaying.

The plot is thickening. I thought the broken template was due to the 6.12->6.13 upgrade, but I have no confirmed its not drupal core, it has something to do with the specific Ubercart modules (which were installed simultaneously with the upgrade). That's what I get for not isolating my variables.
However, the damage is still marinelli specific, with ubercart fully enabled the template breaks, while core themes continue to work fine.

Yes I have the same problem, tested in Firefox, Chrome and Opera, all work fine. But IE not. I'm using IE 8 but have tried on IE6 and 7. Definately doesn't work. Let me know if anyone comes up with anything as it's a big problem.
I'm not getting any images dispalying except ones I've added and the frames appear to be broken as well.
Thanks!

I experienced a similar problem with the Marinelli/Giordani theme with Internet Explorer 8 today. In our case, the problem was caused by Internet Explorer's limit of 31 CSS stylesheets. I installed the IE CSS Optimizer module (http://drupal.org/project/ie_css_optimizer ) and the problem no longer occurs.
If you are still experiencing the problem, give the IE CSS Optimizer module a try.
Hope this helps!

I had the same problem, but IE CSS Optimizer did the trick. Install, then go to admin/settings/performance and set to full optimization (& enable JS optimization while you're at it).
Many thanks, @TallDavid!
