Dear all

Some of the authenticated users of my website may NOT be able to reset their password on their profile or account.

How do you manage this?

I 've created an editor, who has a lot of permissions (such as creating pages, creating blog entries and so on). However, I don't want him to change roles in his Account Information. Now he's ablo to easlily change his role into Admin. And I don't want that because the editor doesn't know anything about Drupal.

Ok, one problem solved already; in the 'editor role' I unchecked "administer permissions'.

My users still have the opportunity to change their passwords. They are 'authenticated users', but I can't uncheck the authenticated button... I guess that is because they are registered users. They are registered because they need access to some non-public articles.
However they may not be able to reset their password.

I think that with User Protect module you may find the right settings to allow or dissallow settings for ever group of user you may want to control.
