Description
Actually, the engine itself did not need to be patched. I have attached the patched phptemplate.engine for drupal-4.6.5 for those who want to try phptal on the latest stable version of Drupal.

Hm, there is something wrong with the file permissions on drupal.org. I can upload, but not view issue attachments (cf. http://drupal.org/project/comments/add/52127)

I think it's because .engine files are restricted from .htaccess, so you should better change the extension or send a patch ;)

Here is the updated phptemplate.engine for 4.6.5 again, this time renamed.
