Adding modules VS theming, which comes first, and why?

Hi everyone,
I'm fairly new to Drupal, and would like some advice on building the structure of a fairly complex website (will not do this alone ;)). The thing is, it will require many many modules (cck, views, newsletter, calendar, ubercart, blog, panels, etc.), and probably another dozen at least.

Is it easier, once the installation is done, to theme the whole thing and then add modules after, or to install all modules, get things working and then theme it all?

Coming from a more traditional website building background I am used to doing theming then modules, but from what I found it seems Drupal is better the other way around...thoughts? Thanks in advance for the insight.

cheers.

I usually end up doing a combination of both, however, depending on what the modules you install add to the site, you may not get everything themed up front anyway.

Hmm interesting...so something like - Add module, theme a bit, add another module, theme a bit more, etc. etc.

Makes sense...but never thought of it like that!
