First there were these error messages -- for details, see http://drupal.org/node/517184 (I replied a couple days ago).

Then, today was the first day I tried to create an image node since upgrading, and it isn't working.

I've checked my status report and "recent log entries," nothing is showing up (no errors/warnings/etc.), and Site Configuration > Images says my images directory is set up fine (and Status Report had nothing to say either).

Interestingly/strangely enough, a different but very similar thing is happening on two different websites I have. So, here are all the details I could think of -- of course, please let me know if there's any other info I should provide.

Site A:
--> Version 6.x-1.0-alpha5
--> Image and Image Gallery are enabled; I've created one Gallery. I tried selecting a gallery in the node-creation form and not, and there was no difference in what happened.

After doing the node-creation form, including selecting an image to upload, I click the "save" button, and I end up on a completely blank page, with the URL still /node/add/image. According to admin/content/node, no new node has been created. I looked at my directories directly on the server, and it turned out the image was in fact uploaded -- to /sites/SiteA/files/images/temp. It never "made it" to /files/images. (I re-tried a few times, same results every time; there are now a few images in /files/images/temp.)

Site B:
--> Image is enabled, nothing else.
--> Version 6.x-1.0-alpha4

Same process -- but when I clicked "save," I ended up on a normal-ish page, but without an image displaying anywhere. Admin/content/node agreed that a node had been created, yet no image displays when you view the node. Looking at my directories just like with Site A, it turned out the same thing happened here -- the images were right in /sites/default/files/images/temp, but not /images.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone find any solutions or have any suggestions?

Is no one else having this problem? That's disconcerting... I could really, really use any help/advice/suggestions anyone has; it's a fairly serious problem, not being able to create image nodes. Thank you, and sorry if I'm being a pest.

For what's worth. I was searching through here looking for solutions to the error messages that I saw after the upgrade. I couldn't add images either. And then (slight throat clearing) I discovered the module was turned off. Don't know how it happened. But that might be something to check.

I don't have a solution for you, but I also received the error messages, have ignored them, and so far have not endured any repercussions. (and my images work so far, including creating a new node, and having derivative images created (thumbnails).

Thanks for the responses - after much fighting with a few different things today and Friday, I am now able to create images on all my sites. I don't think any of my fighting was related to the Images module, but, I'm at a point where (for now, this time...) I'm going to just be happy that everything's working and knock on wood that it stays that way. (Too many other bugs/kinks to deal with to get hung up on this particular one, though normally I'd put effort into figuring out how things were fixed and so on.)

Thanks again, and if anything changes or if I figure anything out I will report back. (For now, case closed.)
