I'd like to have a test area in the administration pages where I can put in some text, and see what filters were found to match. It could also have what percentage it is to be marked spam. This would be useful for testing out regular expressions which I'm not sure will work.

I have a rewrite for the spam module that will support this. Some day, when I get the time to actually finish it.

I very much want to see this functionality, but there is other more pressing functionality that needs to be implemented first. Postponing until the issue queue is shorter, or until someone comes along with a patch.

Cool. would be interesting if this test area could be used as a training area for the bayesian filter too - ie. you put in a bunch of words that are common spam, and test, and then tell it to mark as spam manually (or the other way, with site-relevant words).
