Well, it turns out that $placeholders isn't even used, so db_placeholders() doesn't need to be called...

Committed a modified patch to 6.x-1.x-dev.

LOL, I didn't spot that :)

I hope to be sticking around issue queues too. It will partly depend on whether I will we able to spend money-making hours on Drupal too (*hint* ;) )
