I while back I posted a request for recommendations for English-speaking Drupal hosts in France. No one responded.

This time, I'm after recommendations for Drupal hosts in France. Language capability is irrelevant. I'm after competent Drupal hosting.

there is some french host that are part of big group (I am thinking to 1&1, I do not work for them, but I have some drupal site running on their hosting server without any problem ) so they must be able to support you in english!

1&1 is one of the cheapest host in france and when you need them you understand why it is cheap!

I only recommend 1&1 server, not shared hosting or their VPS hosting. Their server is pretty good and very cheap. I purchase one root server from them, I have 2 Drupal sites and one Django sites on it, and all goes very well. The main skill you need is to know how to maintain it by yourself.

In my opinion people should not get hooked up with 1and1 Internet.
1and1 Internet has an F rating with the Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau. Their lowest rating.

A bit late for you perhaps, but if so maybe useful for others:
New Web Hosting Company in France set up specifically for drupal hosting: www.pyreneescomputing.com
all open-source based, php memory limit set by default to 128MB, ftp access, secure shell access, mail server, MySQL databases, flexible limits etc. Small friendly company registered in France. We set it up specifically because we couldn't find anywhere good to host our own drupal /ubercart sites in France, and thought we might as well help out others in our position.

Thanks for this latest recommendation. I will have a closer look at yout website. I was after an alternative solution for a French-based website, as I don't want to deal with 1&1 hosting anymore. I'm now based in Australia and have forgot about all the hosting options in France!
