I made a fresh Drupal 4.7.0-beta5 instalation. The problem is, when I log off I'm not able to log in any more. I get the message "Sorry. Unrecognized username or password.". Now I have to Request a new password by email to log in again. I tryed this severel times to be sure this is a bug. I changed the password of my user 1 account, I added a new user, but the same problem apears for every user, once you're logged out you can't log in getting the "Sorry. Unrecognized username or password." error. Has anybody else experienced this issue with a fresh Drupal 4.7.0-beta5 instalation?

moshe weitzman commentedi saw this wehnlogging in from the block. can you login from the user/login page? thats a drupal URL

ak commentedThanx for response. I logged in by your given path and it worked. After the login through user/login the block login seems to work although. So now I'm not sure anymore if this was a multible bad typo of mine or something else. Because you although saw this mistake on the block login I will leave this issue active for a wile. If nobody else hits this problem in the next few days I'll set this issue to closed.

chx commentedAssigning to me. I will dedicate an hour to this problem three hours from now.
chx commentedcan't reproduce with fresh HEAD. Also, I am perplexed -- if you can log in from the page, you can from the block, the login is done by the same _submit function, and the form is (essentially) also the same, I just checked.

ak commentedMaybe the false typo in the title of this issue "Cannot login fron block.", should'nt it be "... from block.", is significant for this issue. If so I apologise for waisting your time. Tomorrow I'll give it a last try to reproduce this bug I had with a new fresh 4.7beta5 instalation. If it schould'nt appear anymore Moshe and I maybe just were seeing things. Sorry if so and thanx for your awesome support. I'm closing this if my reproducing fails.

benma commentedI posted in the forum on this some time ago here, and since I did not get any response, and the problem persists in a fresh install of drupal 4.7.0, I reopen this...

killes@www.drop.org commentedYou mention browser dependence, can you try this on a standard theme?
killes@www.drop.org commentednon-critical as it works fine on most sites.
