Is there an 'advanced search' somewhere on the Drupal site ?

I don't know exactly what are the capabilities of the main search function (whole phrases, exclusions, booleans, etc). Is it explained somewhere ?

But what I really miss is a time function (selection or sort). Due to the rapid evolution of Drupal, the content becomes quickly obsolete (for users seeking help at least).

Searching will soon be greatly improved as Drupal dog food's on over to 4.7.x, however, until then, you might want to use google.com along with the site:drupal.org option.

yup.. when i started using Drupal a couple months ago... my first issue was searching their forum...

never even bother to try now... only use google

and i leave out the site: option mentioned above.. a lot of good tips posted on other sites as well - just make sure you have "drupal" in your search.. and maybe version number
