Hi all,
I think one missing features in Drupal is translation of taxonomy terms and vocabularies.
Since I'm developing a multilingual site (Italian & English), I need such a feature.
I found where to modify taxonomy module (CVS version) in order to accomplish this, but I would like to undestand from developers and maintainers if such feature is planned for Drupal 4.4 or it is considered of no interest.
If not, I would be very interested to know your opinion, and eventually in contributing to create such feature...
No other CMS systems have such a feature, as far as I know.
Thanks to all,
Matteo

offtopic
it`s seems strange but in weblink module taxonomy terms of the same vocabulary(which is using by story.module too) can be translated,
but sometime ago i "switch off" weblinks terms rendering and leave only native taxonomy. (weblink is useful but a strange module:)

Working on it
I'm working on it and found where to hack taxonomy module.
The only problem is when you modify a term or a vocubulary name. The old translation remains in locales table...
I'm testing it and I'll be glad to submit my hack for sharing it.....

any news about this hack on the taxonomy module?
Where can it be downloaded?
Is it still necessary with Drupal 4.7?
TIA,
