Is there any good documentation or video on creating a custom submit form?
Once the form is created I'll want to call this form in a page or a block. How do I do it through the code?

What do you want the form
What do you want the form for, it makes a difference.
For content types you can avoid coding with the Content Construction Kit Module.
For other form types you might want to check out the WebForms Module.
I want to create a twitter
I want to create a twitter like form where people can enter their current status from a block in my right panel and it is submitted to the database. I don't want them to click on a link and then enter. Hence want the form to be called in the page/block itself.
