The problem in question can be seen at:

http://intu.cz/temp/drupal-installer/

When going through the expanded vertical menu with IE6, I cannot go from one choice to the other - expanded menu disappears. This seems to be caused by the fact that there is margin-bottom: 10px; to keep it transparent between the menu choices. Can anybody please help me to solve this problem? I have only basic knowledge of CSS and no knowledge of Javascript, for which I apologise in advance.

Thanks for any help

try the latest cvs version (will only work with drupal 4.7.*) which attempts to solve some problems such as this.

Thanks for the info. I tried and seems still the same: downloaded the beta 5 and the nice_menus modules from CVS, but still cannot go from one expanded menu item to the other in IE6 if there is text underneath. The expanded menu disappears. Works OK in FF 1.5, Opera 8, Konqueror...

I had to take the site "offline" so here is another attempt to explain what happens:

on the .gif file there is an area marked as "problem area". If I go from the top item in the expanded menu to the one immediately bellow, the text underneath makes the mouse lose focus and the menu disappears. This makes it impossible to use the expanded menu items whenever there is text underneath. All of this happens in IE6 (and not in FF or Opera). Could it be a problem of the javascript used by the nice_menus module in IE? Any javascript gurus around? Thanks for any help...

does it work in bluemarine? if so, please patch your own theme's css file changing the margins.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no, it does not work in Bluemarine. It seems to be a problem of IE6 (from which I deduce it can be solved only by some JavaScript magic).

ok, i'm guessing this is a problem though with an additional stylesheet you're using?

disable all extra modules and use the basic bluemarine theme and you'll see that nice menus should work perfectly well with IE6.

I've tested nice menus on all themes which come with drupal core on Firefox and IE6.

It works well with the sunflower theme. I've noticed problems with the meta theme among others. If you are still experiencing this problem (since this last post was more than a month ago), try the sunflower theme.

If since then this problem has been resolved, could someone let me in on the solution? Much appreciated.
