XSPF Playlist - cannot generate XML playlist

I have installed and reinstalled XSPF Playlist and followed the instructions on the handbook page: http://drupal.org/node/278260 to the letter (as far as I can make out) three times. I am trying to do an audio playlist.

I can never see an XML playlist. All I can ever see is a blank page when I go to mysite/node/XX/xspf. It doesn't matter if I put in the node number: 117/xspf or the node alias: my-test-album/xspf. Nothing. When I go to mysite/node/XX I see the mp3 files and jpg file for the thumbnail image. As I say, though, when I add the /xsfp at the end it is all blank.

I am using the Filefield module to associate the mp3 files with the content type 'Album', Album is the content type I have selected in the Playlist settings and for the Album settings and I am using 'Build Playlist from files: Drupal attached files' for both the mp3 and image (jpg) files.

Am I doing something incredibly ignorant here, am I missing something simple, or is there something else wrong?
