I didn't know where to ask this.. The module has my curiosity, I don't see any text on the module page about what it does or why. I did see a few words that it creates views and content types. We all know Drupal has core forums, this is a views add-on to enhance the core forums or an add-on for advanced forum. Yes, i did see all the !!! above the issue que that this is not the form module. thanks

This package is very much in its infancy. As of now, it only provides the necessary content types and a basic views implementation, but they aren't themed to look like a beautiful/recognizable forum. I made it because, while there has been a lot of talk about switching away from the forum module to cck+views etc, there hasn't been any place to coordinate the development.

Drupal has a core forum module, but it doesn't leverage views in any way. Advanced forum similarly depends on custom displays and is not integrated with views.

This goal of this project is not to enhance/add-on to those, though there is a significant amount to learn from, rather it is to build on the features of modules like views. In the end, it should be just as easy to install this as the forum module, but the benefits are that you will have all the tools at your disposal that enhance views+cck etc.

I will leave this open for now until I add more documentation, which I will do shortly when I repackage the files.
