Issue Summary
Id like to see this module integrated with user relationships so a users "friends" get an email when their friends birthdays are coming up, that would be cool.

Is anyone maintaining this module right now? I would think about working on a patch for this if I thought it might be committed.

@dafeder: Are you still intrested in working on this? I'd happily commit a patch that does this.
Similar issue, not the same though: #177733: Reminder eMail not only to Admin, but also to other users.
