Hello,
This looks like an extremely useful project, but the disclaimer on the main project page about the D6 version being buggy and "not really suitable for release" gives me pause, and I notice that there haven't been any new commits for a while. I need a way to control access by book and I'd really like to use this module -- it seems to fit what I need perfectly. I'm not good at judging the health of modules yet, though. Is the D6 version in better shape now, or is it still not something I should rely on?

See also #474728: Book access seems abandoned, which has been opened in May, and that it has not gotten any reply from the maintainer. The support request is now at Drupal.org webmasters.

Thanks for responding, KiamLaLuno. Too bad! Hopefully they will transition this module to a new maintainer. Or maybe better still, another access control module could roll up Book Access's functionality -- I'd love it if per-book access control could be bundled into the Content Access module, for example, since apparently they don't play well together as individual modules.

I am now co-maintainer of this project. I will resolve any issue I find reported, and fix them.
In the next 48-96 hours I will make a new official release.
