This movie from the Jet Propulsion Labs about web application frameworks, while it doesn't cover Drupal, is still very interesting. The guy talks through some problems he has seen in projects that tried to use less agile UI systems. Then he walks through some evaluation and tests in the following CMF:
J2ee (JBOSS?)
JSP
Rubo on Rails
Zope (Plone)
Turbo Gears
Django
The first test is "Hello World" and then a "time log application".
It's interesting both in terms of "why CMF is powerful" and also in terms of "what some other frameworks outside of Drupal look l ike.

Very interesting
This screencast is really interesting for those who want to do web applications (as opposed to dynamic web sites). I managed to shrink the movie to an 78 MB XViD AVI without too much loss of quality. I would like to upload it for anyone interested, but I think the copyright of the California Institute of Technology prohibits this. Maybe they allow it on short notice so If anybody is interested in the small version I could write an email asking for permission.
Interesting
The video is pretty interesting and funny too. You can't really compare Drupal to any of the frameworks (Plone maybe), they are totally different beast and different audience as far as I can tell.
I can't agree with the outcome of the presentation though (Plone won?). The real contest should have been between the new Django Magic Removal Branch, Turbogears and Rails.
