Stop content profile from being automatically being published

I use the user registration module to automatically setup the profile for the user. The content type workflow setting hasn't got the Published set. However when a user registers, is automatically logged in and redirected to the profile setup page the profile is created and automatically published without the user having even filled in anything. Is there a fix for this?

The reason it's a problem for me is because I have a "most Recent profiles" view and if a user stops continuing filling out the form I have an empty profile which is pretty annoying. So I'd like to (Maybe using rules) to publish the profile only once it has been completed.
