Issue with RSS Feeds

Hi,

I am *trying* ;-) to configure a pre-installed Drupal 6 to run a company intranet. So far, the installation seems to be going ok (although there are a few modules I haven't got to grips with yet), but I seem to be having issues with the RSS Feeds.

What I would ideally like to do is add an RSS feed from the sites' forum to the sites' own aggregator module, so that I can display the contents of this forum on my homepage, in order that certain members of Head Office departments can add posts to the forum, which would then be aggregated onto the homepage as a kind of Company News section - firstly, should this even be possible sending a feed from the forums to the aggregator?

Either way, there appears to be an issue with the sites' outgoing RSS feeds...

I have just set up the Forums module and have tried to subscribe to its' feed using Newsgator attached to Outlook. However, when I add the feed, I am getting an error message stating:

Newsgator Inbox could not find any feeds!
Check your search terms for misspellings or make sure you entered a valid URL.

When I clilck on the RSS icon from within the Drupal forums, the contents of the forum are displayed as any normal RSS feed would be, and the URL displays as:

http://intranet.mycompany.co.uk/taxonomy/term/6/0/feed

When I enter that url in to Drupals own feed aggregator on my intranet, I get the following message:

The feed from seems to be broken, because of error "98201308 ".

I have searched (google and this site) for this error message, but haven't had any luck finding it...

I know the aggregator module is working correctly as I am able to receive feeds from BBC News website etc.

If I look at the URL alias module, I can see that the forum RSS is aliased from 'http://intranet.mycompany.co.uk/node/79/feed' to the abiove URL, although entering this one in either the Druapl aggregator or Newsgator also produces the same error.

Any ideas? Thankyou in anticipation!

;-)

Have just tried subscribing

Have just tried subscribing to this forums' RSS and that works fine in Newsgator, and includes the taxonomy part of the URL, so I guess that's normal... still no eyed deer why the sites RSS feeds appear blank then...?

Maybe this is the wrong forum

Maybe this is the wrong forum for this type of question..? If so, please could some one direct me to the correct one?
