Link to a pdf file

Description
I would like to know if it will be possible with this editor to upload a pdf file and then place a link inside the editor that will make that pdf file open in the same or new window. The FCK Editor allows you to upload any file and link to it. Does this editor do it? Also if I FTP the files manually then can I just link to them but how do you do it with the link editor cause I tried it but the path says node/file/pdf.file and not /file/pdf.file
Please help cause I really like this editor
