I installed CCK and created a content type "Stickers". But I don't really want a content type "Stickers", I was just checking out content type creation. But now I can't delete Stickers! I see a link to delete "Page" and "Story" content types, but no link to delete "Stickers". I'm logged in as the users with ID 1, what else am I missing?

So you're saying when you go to yoursitename.com/admin/content/types you see the "Stickers" content type but you don't see an option to delete it? If so, I'm at a loss - my only 2 guesses would be either a faulty cck installation or some kind of module/theme/panels/etc. customization that is conflicting.

If all you did with CCK was create that one content type, you could always disable the module, then "uninstall" cck (i.e. "content" I guess) from the modules admin page.

I switched the theme back to the default (to garland from tapestry). No luck there. I've read a number of posts here about removing the component not deleting the underlying data, or in some cases corrupting it... that makes me nervous. So far I don't have any data in the content type stickers, so maybe I'm safe.

As far as how I got here, I installed cck as a requirement for ubercart. That might be a clue... UberCart creates a "Product" content type, and I can't delete that one either. But I also can't delete "Blog Entry", only "Page" and "Story".

I guess I'll try to uninstall ubercart and then cck (disabling first). Then try again.

You might want to consider asking this same question in the issues section of the ubercart project page ("view pending patches").

Since it was created in ubercart you have to go to Store administration>Products>Manage Classes and delete it there.

Good luck, once you get the hang of it drupal/ubercart are an amazingly powerful combination!

Thanks artscientific im having the same problem by going to product class and deleting it, it also dissappaer in my content type that solves the problem.
