Salutations:
Not sure how to catagorize this - wish we could use a 'heads-up' catagory selection for issues.
I am configuring a virgin install of drupal to migrate an enterprise CCI NewsML content system and noted an interesting config twist: admin/settings/imce => common settings => Enable inline image
If you leave that field set to test a pre-wysiwyg IMCE textfield attachment (recommended 'edit-body') - then you will be unable to get it to work with TinyMCE (and I'm guessing several others) until you go back and return it to default blank ..
It will appear as if it is installed to attach images - the IMCE check box for TinyMCE will appear, but no icon will be available to image attach box and you will see a text link to attach and image under the main TinyMCE interface. Using that link will always fail without any clear error as to why.
To test if this is the case - switch back to plain textfield and use that link to attach attach an image - it will work fine. That's how you know someone (perhaps you yourself) have left the setting on in IMCE.
Can't help but wonder if some of the issues in this queue are related to what would be a normal install test for IMCE.
TinyMCE 6.x-1.2
IMCE wysiwyg api 6.x-1.0
ImageField 6.x-3.1
Drupal 6.13
Cheers and best wishes from the stormy north atlantic.
