When we delete a platform node, the related apache config file (in ~/config/vhost.d/platform_N.conf) is not removed (as there are no tasks specifically for platform cleanup).

I'm not marking this as critical because this goes along with platform management...

Should we stick to node deletion for Platforms, since we probably need to prevent Site node deletion in favour of its Delete (provision delete) task? See #564038: Make deletion of sites/platforms consistent (Node deletion or Delete task) and #529242: deleting a platform should remove the platform apache config

I fix this as part of the larger task of platform management which I have implemented in the patches on #373062: 0.4 - automate platform creation - please test and report back in the other ticket.

I realise i hijacked that ticket that isn't specific to platform management, so I've created a separate ticket that includes patches that fix this ticket here.

#602128: Platform management

Ready to commit but some debate's emerged about one of the features, hence the separate ticket about it.
