Should it be possible to change the image size of the images so that we end up with something like this: http://www.sprocketcreative.com/?

I dont know if the page you linked changed the effect or not.
But if it is the one I see now and is what you like, that is a totally different effect and that one should not be very difficult with jQuery. I think it is only an image on corner with a mouseover effect to be changed and when someone hits on it reveals a layer with that bounce effect.
This module cant be adapted to that effect.

The effects was similar to the tutorial featured in webresourcesdepot.com with a very little difference in the implementation, maybe you can check this jquery tutorial about sliding top menu.
And also reminds me with the effects in the search box I've seen in lullabot, check also this entry bitchin search box.
pageear use flash that load images in the top corner of the page but this effects used only images to close and open a block of content.
I think without using pageear you can do this one with the help of jQuery alone.

Sorry, that can't be made with this module would be an idea for a totally new one.
