The user should always know, what he is doing and what effects this will have. He should also be able to do everything he wants quickly and without the interface getting in the way.

Both the search and the configuration page should be improved to these ends. More informations should be displayed and Javascript/AHAH used, where sensible.

In the newest release (unstable3) the admin UI was vastly improved, though some improvements should still be made, especially to the, at the moment rather plain, search form.
