Hi great module
Is there a way to batch update the payment status of Bank Transfer payments. This will simplify the admin section of payment receive via Bank transfers, enabling you to run a batch file at the end of the day. Obviously your accountant will prepare the file
Here is a great module that exports your payment and order status to CSV: uc_who_bought_what
Also can the batch update send related emails on status change?
Thanks
This is the best module to get started on a shopping trolley without having to make any capital layout to a third party payment gateway.

xibun commentedHi, I agree that the payment status updates can be improved. I wait for other users to bring in their ideas before changing anything.
So when you are reading this: how can we improve the payment status updates for your work flow?

vlooivlerke commentedHow Bank Transfer work in South Africa.
Our customers can pay using the Bank Transfer module in 3 ways, by going to the bank and completing an account payment slip, or creating a beneficiary at the ATM or creating a beneficiary using online banking. Obviously we prefer online banking as it tends to be an easy step to make payment.
My first idea is to have a link to all the banks that offer online banking. These links can be displayed on the checkout and order confirmation pages. When you follow the link it opens up on a new page with the account details in the top frame and the bank website in the bottom, so when you login to your online banking you dont need to switch between pages and emails to get the accounting details to create a beneficiary to make payment.
A birdy told me that they are changing the protocol for online banking where a http post string sent to the bank login url will (after user login on bank site) automatically create the beneficiary and populate the correct fields.
The second idea is the generation of the Payment reference number. I noticed the tickbox for activating the display of the order number and some token integration. If the payment reference number can be displayed on the checkout and order confirmation pages and template page it wll be great. If you can customize the display of the payment referance using token like [UID]-[ORDER]-007 and be able to bulk update your order workflow using your tokenized payment reference number.
All banks here can provide you with a CSV file showing Payments received and there reference numbers, date to clear and amounts.
With a simple edit in excel you can create a user friendly CSV file to import to update payment workflow.
I dont use the fields provided with this module except for the text area field as we have multiple bank accounts to make it easy for customers to make online payment and the money clears faster :)
I see the user interface on the setup screen as a set of text areas linked individually to a bank url set to open up on a split frame page.
Thanks

xibun commentedthanks for the very good and complete description!
looking forward to collect descriptions of work flows and ideas from other parts of the planet to get a "global" picture before implementing anything.

xibun commentedin the mean time we use Adyen for bank transfers in many European countries as it makes the manual clearing of received bank transfers obsolete.
(I maintain the module, you can find it here: http://drupal.org/project/uc_adyen)
we still use the bank transfer module for the remaining countries - but we only give the option to customers from those countries.
(you can use the following module for conditional payment method listing: http://drupal.org/project/uc_conditional_payment)
