Hello,

In order to use tabs as a menu in the left sidebar of my drupal site, i would like to display the CCK Fieldgroup Tabs in a block which will be assigned to left sidebar region.

How can i do this ?

This can't be done with this module. However, you could consider using panels and the Tabs panels style module, http://drupal.org/project/panels_tabs, to place items in a panel, or the http://drupal.org/project/quicktabs module to create a tabbed block.
