Creating a Drupal Twitter Brain trust – Follow Me on Twitter

phazer - July 26, 2009 - 01:32

I have found that Twitter is a great way to connect with people, but loses its value when too much irrelevant information is available. To help this, I am creating a Twitter group to focus on answering development questions on the fly. I have converted a large site from Drupal 5 to 6 last week, and there were several times that connecting to someone would have been better than goggling “Drupal contemplate views override”. If you are an experienced Drupal Developer, I’d like to invite you to join a twitter group for this purpose. Just follow me at http://twitter.com/drupal_dev and I’ll follow you also.

Bio: I have developed several large Drupal sites, most for my company. I have programming experience in Drupal, Php, VB, MySQL, CSS, HTML, Flash, ASP and a few more. VERY strong MySql skills. My site that was just converted from 5 to 6 is www.vitalifefitness.com. It uses the following Drupal Modules: addtoany, audio, avatar_blocks, avatar_selection, captcha, cck, contemplate, devel, faq, googleanalytics, image_attach, image, imageapi, imagecache, imagecache_profiles, itunes, legal, masquerade, pathauto, privatemsg, rules, sharedemail, site_map, swftools, token, twitter, twitter_actions, ubercart, uc_addresses, uc_coupon, uc_taxes_floridasurtax, userpoints, user_relationships, user_stats, views, viewsphpfilter, xmlsitemap

I have also written several custom modules that empower our site to do some unique things.
Autoship – allows our customers to create orders that will automatically be filled on a monthly basis
Nikerunstats – Download Fitness and Exercise data from the Nike+ website for tracking.
Accounting – This module handles all the accounting, compensation, and tracking for a network marketing company
Registration – Our modified registration system creates a registration wizard, and prefills registration data based on many different entry points.
Training – Creates personalized iTunes podcast feeds whch are delivered over time based on the users join date

Thanks
