geerlingguy commentedWonderful! I will test for you :-)
One thing could be to integrate with the Scheduler module... for those with permission to schedule postings, they could just use Scheduler to set up a start time and end time.

fgmAdmins have a less intrusive option: they can set the expire date as far as they want, up to 2050-12-31, which is basically the same.
A JS helper to position the date to that limit would probably be the cleanest choice. As a feature, this will only go into 6.3 anyway.

fgmAs a feature, this will only go into 7.3 anyway, not 6.x, which is a feature-frozen (stable) version.

bwill commentedI also would like this feature, but for now, I set the ad expiration to Jan 31 2050 and get an error: Invalid expiration date: before now. The reason for wanting this is simple. I'm running this excellent module on my own site to list my for sale items. Not using it to let others post ads. Thanks!

fgmWith this module end of life approaching along with Drupal 7 EOL, this issue is now moot.
