Unable to assign role via editing the "setting page"

Hi,

I just installed the user type module. Everything seems to work perfectly except that I can't assign role via editing the "setting page".

For example,
I have 2 roles to assign, Role A and Role B. The first role must be assigned via editing the "setting page", so I went to the "setting page", checked both the "hijack user registration page" and "show description", and "Auto assign role: Role A".

Then, I will need to create another user type. So, I clicked "add a user type" and filled out the detail with "Auto assign role: Role B".

After that, when I tried to create a new account as a Role A user, Role A is not assigned. However, when I register a new account for Role B, Role B is assigned. In other word, role will not be assigned under "setting page", but role can be assigned via "add a user type" page.

Even I can see all the roles are clearly stated under Administrator>User Types>List Users, but the roles are not stated under Administrator>User (if I assign role A via "setting page"). On the other hand, roles are stated under both "List Users" and "User" if I have assigned roles via "add a user type" page.

What would be the cause?
Can anyone provide some advice for me?
