well , yes , you may say that is just a simple "php-if-not" function , no need drupal at all.

but ! another suggestion like "you should choose Ubuntu as a linux system" (i rember there is one site doing just this job which just show several questions step by step and finally give you a suggestion for which linux fix you)
so on ....

i tried a lot of modules like rules/workflow , but could not make it out

please give me a hand if you know.

You don't want to use Workflow for this.

This isn't a Workflow issue, this is more like Multiform or Calculated Fields. You're looking for a Form Wizard.

Workflow addresses an entirely different problem area.
