There is only one part of the chat URL made for the chat server that refers to a file in the files directory and that is the part that sets the user picture. For the log entries with the error that is
which is correct. It is not actually referring to the entire files directory, but to "pictures/picture-6.gif" within it. So, my thought is that this is
not a bug in the RealChat module 6.x-1.2. I am changing this issue into a support request.
My guess is that your site's configuration is somehow damaged. To try and fix it, visit "Administer | Reports | Status report". Please check and report the entry for "File system". Then visit and report the settings at "Administer | Site configuration | File system". Try hitting "save" here even without changing anything and see if that fixes it. Please report what happens so I can devise the next step (if any is required) with solid information to work with.

crotown commentedI was just able to log in to your site and chat with a chat link made by the RealChat module with HMAC authentication. Did my last post help? Anything to share about how you got your site working again?

Try to only install RealChat module, there are no other module, triggered when the machine is still the same
