customizing the image_ads

You can use Views to assist in the usual way of constructing blocks that are grids (horizontal for the bottom of pages, vertical for side blocks). You just need to learn to use Views of which Ad views support will give you the extra blocks. I don't have a ready example offhand.

Now there may be other themable ways in the Ad module itself. I'm passing this back over to the Ad module as this is potentially a more general enquiry than necessarily just Views support (and I'm sure more people use Advertisment module in this way).

There are CSS examples in documentation/README.txt. Search for "CSS", it shows you how to arrange advertisements vertically, and how to otherwise customize them with CSS.
