Still, half the height of the current size of the text area would be enough, it has got a resize handle for mouthy people. Most comments are not longer than what would fit in there.</p>
<p>The size of the comment text area also rips the preview apart, if you look at the first picture with the preview again.</p>
<p>Those two should be really cheap to patch but improve things a lot...</p>

bobgeier commentedHave to agree with the comment box size as a usability issue. For almost all applications of comments, the default is just way too large, and setting the default size is too deeply embedded in themeing for relatively inexperienced users. The result is that the comment facility is not usable "out of the box".
