Issue Summary

The way I use a drupal set up and the users had to do their maintenance, they need their content sorted by the "created" date. The hack is very simple and I done it for my installation.

I don't know how others set it up and use it. But I could do without the owner field. Because they are only allowed to view, alter and modify their own content. I could do without the modified field and even the node type. But, as I said, I need the "created" field.

My abilities are enough to alter some things but wouldn't like to offer a patch. It should be simple (???) do offer more fields and make their appearance configurable by admin in a first step.

Don't know how other users and admins think about that? Hope that's not completely out of focus.
