harvest from FTP, HOWTO only get new files?

g'day,
i'm trying to regularly harvest from a remote site, transcode and send back the new files. this will be done daily to process new uploads, but at the moment harvest from FTP tries to get the files it has done before as well as new ones. I don't want to delete the originals files, moving them to another folder would be acceptable
