hi, I've unzipped 6.13 and inside 6.13 is another 6.13 so my path says it twice which is leading to problems creating a database.
Why is this

hard to follow, could you try graphically representing this issue?

drupal is archived in a .tar.gz when that extraction takes place it is a .tar and after that should be the drupal folder, which the files can be moved out of.

I tend to drill down until I can see the files themeselves and extract directly from THAT level.

Hi, think I've sorted that out ok, thank you. Don't remember having that problem when i downloaded this before. Anyways.
After a lot of work and hiccups I'm starting from scratch again. ho hum. never mind.

So now I'm seeing this 'Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\drupal\includes\file.inc on line 895' when I point by browser to localhost/drupal. Have never seen this error have you?

I've seen this question before but i'm sorry, I just didn't understand the solution.

Once I've got drupal installed I hope i can just zip through the rest and soldier on quite quickly.

what version of PHP, in installed in your WAMP?
