Cancel account

I want to cancel my Drupal account, because I will not use it anymore in the future.
How can I do this?

You can just not use it... but if you're concerned with the fact that you are recieving emailings.. click this link and change your settings.

There is no cancel feature. Merely do not use your account and nothing will be attached to it.

how lame is that to create a site that will not allow a user to cancel!!!!! makes this site seem unethical & not trustworthy

i do agree that drupal.org AND drupal in general needs a "cancel" account default in core such that a user can delete his or her account at will. however, this presents issues with content links to a profile that is dead -though this could easily be solved with a custom error page (user no longer a member")
